    In Disequilibrium, part 1

    Well it's all topsy-turvy
and everything's been turned upside down
and as for me I'm all over the shop,
I just can't stop this thing, however
    it started

    What were you thinking
if you were even thinking at all?
    Barely an inkling
you threw the kitchen sink straight
    at the wall.

All in the game, it doesn't matter a jot
I'll take the blame to get back in the action.
    Whatever's coming up next
will be a drive to distraction

    I don't really know where I may
    be going now.

    What were you thinking
or were you even thinking at all?
Tell the truth, I think I'm walking on glass,
and I don't know quite how this chaotic
    state has come to pass.

It's all out of kilter and everything's
unfiltered and raw; out of the balance,
I don't think I can take any more.

I don't really know where I may have
    come from now.

    What were you thinking?
    What were you thinking off?
    What were you thinking?
Exactly what were you thinking off?

Is there a chance that you'll get
    back on the track?
What are the odds you'll come up
    with an answer?
    Is there the slightest doubt
that you're on a downward spiral now?

    In Disequilibrium, part 2

In answer to your question I'm
    here to confess
I've lost all sense of direction
locked in a special kind of emptiness.

    And the spider bites,
    You're caught in the jaws,
there's no wrong or right, effect or cause.

    Knowledge of the future, that
    comes to the price.
You'll find no grand designer behind
    the randomness of rolling dice.

    And the spider bites,
    get up for the show.
    Hit the lights,
yes, here we go, here we go.

    There's no choreography, dance the
    tarantella.

    I don't think I quite believe it
    but nevertheless
    I don't think I quite believe it
but I'm doing my level best.

Wherever you may go you always
    had it coming

You never really know what ride you
    may be thumbing.

    I don't know,
    I don't know the answer.
    Let it go,
just let it go, leave it alone,
    just forget it,
    just forget it,
    just forget it,
I've forgotten more then you'll ever know

    It'll all work out,
    as likely as not,
    it's worth the shout.

    There's no choreography, dance
    the Tarantella,
    in disequilibrium round and round
    forever we'll go.

Around we go in disequilibrium although
    we should know better.
Dance the Tarantella to the end.

    Wherever you have gone,
    wherever you are going
    hold on,
    hold on to your dreams
for just as long as you can.

    I've forgotten more...

I've remembered more, all's forgiven now.

    In Disequilibrium, part 3

And whatever happens now it's true:
    there's a pattern that we're working through.
All my happiness depends on you.

    I won't give up, I won't let go,
I'll hold on, hold on to you forever...
if you do as I say.

    I won't give up, I won't let go,
do as I say, don't do as I do
and we're surely going to see it through,
all my happiness depends on you.

Though the night is closing round you now
hold on tightly to your lucky charm.
I will be beside you just as long
    as you want,
I will cradle you in my arms.

And whatever happens we'll put through,
    yeah, whatever happens,
oh, whatever happens I'm with you.

Hold on, I won't let go,
    I won't give up, I won't let go.

Do as I say, don't do as I do.
    There's a pattern that we're working through,
all my happiness depends on you.

Do as I say, don't do as I do,
don't do as I say, do as I do.

    Wherever you have gone,
    wherever you are going,
    hold on,
    hold on to your dreams
for just as long as you can.

Gently (Step by Step), part 1

    Step by step
    into the moment.

Gently (Step by Step), part 2

    Going gently

    Step by step

    into the night,

    in the moment.

    hoping it will be alright.

    Everything will work out fine

You'll find a place of safety,

    A place of safety

    it won't be far away,

    it won't be far away

    somewhere you can always stay,
    somewhere to be yourself.

    And in the future
when you look back on this
your ignorance will pass for bliss.

Every tale has twists and mystery
    works like this:
all history's written in the stars,
    step follows step at last.

Though you don't know quite how
you're drawing on, on towards your
    final destination.

Take it easy, walking on thin ice,
you won't get to do this twice.
Going gently into that dark night,
down the tunnel to the light.

    All will be at rest,
    All's familiar.
    All will be at rest.

Gently (Step by Step), part 3

    (instrumental)

Gently (Step by Step), part 4

    Far away
    swirls and eddies run;
    another day
    has already begun.

    Time goes slowly now,
    will the dawn never come?
I have surfaced from a dream,
I am waiting on the sun.

    Wired and wide awake,
    still the dawn doesn't come.
    I've been watching for the
    first light to break,
I've been waiting for the sun.

    So tired, for heaven's sake,
    now the night's nearly done.
I am drifting in a dream,
    always waiting for the sun.

    Now there's the golden glow,
    horizon's on fire.
Out of the dark, a new beginning:
    welcome to the new world
and there's hope for the future.

Leave the darkness of the past behind you
because tomorrow will be a better day.
